On September 12-13, 2022, delegates from the Information Centre on Academic Mobility and Equivalence (CIMEA) of Italy, including its Director General Mr. Luca Lanterno, Junior international project manager Ms.Emanuela Gitto and Educational credential evaluator Ms.Laura Dirvonskyte visited the National Information Centre (NIC) Mongolia.

During their visit, the CIMEA delegates met with Dr.Yanjmaa Ochirbat, Director of the Mongolian National Council for Education Accreditation (MNCEA), where the NIC Mongolia is based, and discussed about the NIC Mongolia, CIMEA, and future collaborations and partnerships between the two agencies.

CIMEA was established in 1984 with the main objective to further academic mobility in all aspects, facilitate the understanding of the elements of the Italian system and of foreign education and training systems, and sponsoring the principles of the Lisbon Recognition Convention on qualifications recognition.

CIMEA owns an international document center and specialised databases on foreign higher education systems, on the types of qualifications of every country and on the national legislation in terms of higher education.
