MNCEA DELEGATION PARTICIPATED IN THE CONFERENCE “STRENGTHENING CAPACITY FOR INTERNATIONALIZATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE AREA OF CREDENTIAL RECOGNITION AMONG EU AND ASIAN COUNTRIES” IN HANOI

Delegates from the Mongolian National Council for Education Accreditation (MNCEA) participated in the international conference “Strengthening Capacity for Internationalization of Higher Education in the Area of Credential Recognition Among EU and Asian Countries” in Hanoi on October 3-6, 2022.

The conference was organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ RecoASIA project – Regional Cooperation in the field of Recognition among Asian Countries, which aims at favouring and increasing the quality of vertical and horizontal mobility within the Asian and European higher education systems by increasing the recognition of qualifications within the Asian and European Region.

The conference was organized around 3 subthemes: 1) European Higher Education and Credential Recognition System, Higher Education System and Practices in Asia, 2) UNESCO Perspective on the Global Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education in Asia, and 3) Assessment and Recognition of Qualifications of Refugees and Emigrants.

The MNCEA carries out the duties of the National Information Centre (NIC) under the obligations given by the Asia-Pacific Regional Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education (known as the “Tokyo Convention”). Since 2019, the agency has implemented the Erasmus+ RecoASIA project, which is co-funded by the European Union Erasmus+ Programme.
